We went to see Walsall Wheelbarrows, a family business manufacturing wheelbarrows through the generations and currently run by brothers Simon and Jonathon. Their father is believed to have come up with the modern wheelbarrow design and a golden barrow sits in reception remembering his contributions to the industry.
The company make an amazing number of wheelbarrows and are very interested in the benefits that iTip handles could bring to the range. The brothers pointed out it could be a huge benefit for moving loads such as cement and garden waste. It was very interesting hearing how the company has developed over the decades, always with a nod to the founding father whose portrait hangs above the boardroom. It was a fascinating afternoon.
